Elgar Society The music, life and legacy of Edward Elgar was celebrated in Stratford by the The Elgar Society Midlands branch as part of the project promoting Elgar’s legacy and music overseas.
Guests invited to the special occasion held on 11th July discussed Elgar’s Music, his compositions and about the series of programmes taking place in Radio Filarmonia of Peru from January 2023 to January 2024 with the presenter and international artist, Elke McDonald from Peru. With the sponsorship of the programme by Pentagrama Britanico from the British Cultural Association of Lima, Peru.
Piano music was performed by pianist Maddy Evans of the Stratford Chamber Music and the event was hosted by one of the members of Elgar Society -Clara Kendrick- at her home in Stratford and who has been appointed ambassador of Elgar’s music overseas which was the reason for the meeting in Stratford.
The general producer of the programme and the director is Stuart Freed chairman of the Elgar Society and Martin Marsh vice-chairman of Elgar Society. Clara Kendrick reports to them and work is in progress to send the Elgar overseas music programme to Peru in the near future.

Elgar Society La música, la vida y el legado de Edward Elgar fueron celebrados en Stratford por la sucursal de The Elgar Society Midlands como parte del proyecto que promueve el legado y la música de Elgar en el extranjero.
Los invitados a la ocasión especial celebrada el 11 de julio conversaron sobre la música de Elgar, sus composiciones y sobre la serie de programas que se desarrollarán en Radio Filarmonia del Perú desde enero de 2023 hasta enero de 2024 con la presentadora y artista internacional, Elke McDonald de Perú. Con el patrocinio del programa Pentagrama Británico de la Asociación Cultural Británica de Lima, Perú.
La música de piano fue interpretada por la pianista Maddy Evans de Stratford Chamber Music y el evento fue presentado por uno de los miembros de la Sociedad Elgar -Clara Kendrick- en su casa de Stratford y quien ha sido nombrada embajadora de la música de Elgar en el extranjero, motivo por el cual la reunión en Stratford.
El productor general del programa y el director es Stuart Freed, presidente de la Sociedad Elgar y Martin Marsh, vicepresidente de la Sociedad Elgar. Clara Kendrick les reporta y se está trabajando para enviar el programa de música internacional de Elgar a Perú en un futuro próximo.
